Assisting St. Patrick Parishioners
The St. Patrick Helping Hands volunteers are always ready to help our parishioners who are in need! Possibly you, or a parishioner that you know, are in need of some assistance in any of these following ways: transportation to/from doctor appointments or the grocery store, someone to do the grocery shopping, transportation to/from Mass, or just to receive a friendly visit or phone call. Perhaps you have it on your heart to become a Helping Hands volunteer.
In St. Paul’s Letter to the Corinthians, he uses the analogy of how those who are followers of Christ form the Body of Christ. Paul suggests that every part of the Body of Christ is needed when he said, “If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy.”
The St. Patrick Helping Hands volunteers have been, and will continue to be, joyfully ready to help our parishioners who are in need! Possibly you, or a parishioner that you know, are in need of some assistance in any of these following ways: transportation to/from doctor appointments or the grocery store, someone to do the grocery shopping, transportation to/from Mass, or just to receive a friendly visit or phone call.
St. Patrick Helping Hands Ministry is looking for additional volunteers to assist with bringing parishioners without transportation to Mass on the weekends. It requires a compassionate heart, time, and conversation. This might be something you’d enjoy doing one weekend a month or more. You will be scheduled based on your preference. If you feel you might be interested in being a volunteer, please call our office at (352) 383-8556. (The Diocese of Orlando requires that volunteers be fingerprinted and complete the online Safe Environment Training.)
God bless you!
