Who We Are
The Cursillo weekend allows a Catholic to develop a deeper, stronger personal relationship with the Holy Spirit to enjoy for a lifetime.
What We Do
As it says on the Orlando Cursillo website, “The Cursillo Movement is a movement of the Catholic Church. The Spanish word Cursillo means short course and is often associated with a 3-Day weekend. The proper name is Cursillo de Cristiandad, essentially a short course of Christianity.”
In Orlando, Cursillo occurs twice per year, usually in March and October, with men attending on their weekend usually two weekends prior to women.
Those who have completed a Cursillo weekend are invited to attend a monthly gathering called Ultreya. At St Patrick, Ultreya occurs on the third Thursday of every month in the Parish Hall from 6:30pm-8:00pm. It is a chance to continue to live out the learnings from your Cursillo weekend and stay connected with the Cursillo community.
How You Can Get Involved
All are invited to learn more about Cursillo and how your relationship with the Holy Spirit finds a new depth and meaning.
If you have an interest in learning more about Cursillo or attending a weekend, please send an email with your contact information to parishioners Chris and Shari Berens at sberens421@gmail.com, or visit the Orlando Cursillo website at orlcursillo.org.
