
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal Catholic organization like no other. We are an organization of Catholic men, with over 2 million members worldwide and growing. Since the organization began in 1882, the Knights have been guided by four core principles…Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.
What We Do
St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus Council #10853, chartered in 1989, is involved in numerous activities throughout the year to be of service to our parish and community, such as:
- Hospitality Ministry serving as Ushers at Mass
- Support various parish events, such as St. Patrick annual Golf Classic
- Partner with SPA-St Patrick Alliance of Women for various events
- Recognize our Youth with Jeff Parker Scholarship to qualified graduating seniors
- Support Open Door homeless center with meal donations
- Raise funds through raffles and pancake breakfasts
- Our “Citizens with Disabilities Campaign” raises money for local charities, including Special Olympics, Sunrise ARC, and Boggy Creek Children’s Camp
- St. Vincent DePaul’s Food Pantry, in partnership with St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Eustis
- Blood donations
- Coats for Kids program
- Support of local “March for Life” campaigns, including Life’s Choices Women’s Clinic, raising funds for ultrasound machines
- Celebrate our members with family social events, July 4th picnics, veteran ceremonies, and Christmas parties
How You Can Get Involved
The St Patrick Knights meet on the first Tuesday (Business Meeting) of every month from 6:30pm-8;00pm in the Parish Hall.

Parish Events/Volunteers – anyone volunteering for a parish event that involves children and/or vulnerable adults needs to complete the Safe Environment online training and be fingerprinted. Please contact the parish secretary at aarruda@stpatrickmtdora.org to begin the process. Once you have completed both steps and you are approved, you may begin to volunteer in our parish.
