Due to the coronavirus outbreak, there have been changes to our regularly scheduled observances for Holy Week.
- Live-streaming of Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion is allowed.
- Palms may be blessed on Palm Sunday but they are to be distributed at a later date when public liturgies resume and people are allowed to gather.
- The Passion on Palm Sunday can be read by a deacon or priest alone.
The Elect who are to be baptized will be received into the Church as soon as we are able to open our Churches for public celebration of Mass. (The Office of Liturgy will provide guidance and the proper ritual to use.)
I have given permission to use the oils from 2019 until priests are able to obtain the oils blessed at this year’s Chrism Mass.
Resurrection of the Lord, The Mass of Easter Day, April 12, 12:30 p.m. aired on WFTV Ch. 9 (priests are able to livestream from parishes as you also deem appropriate)”
